Docking a barge, Nikiski 1962

The barge carrying the process section of Standard Oil Co. of California's Alaskan refinery was beached stern first at high tide at Nikiski. When the tide went out the equipment was skidded ashore by Parsons construction crew and set on foundations 3/4 mile inland. Several sidewalk superintendents look on. A tug is doing its job.
