Guest and temporary housing now available at KRC's Residence Hall

Posted: 10/2/2013 11:20:24 AM

Tammie Willis, KRC's associate director of residence life, recently announced that the KRC Residence Hall is now offering guest and temporary housing.

"I'm pleased to announce that we will be offering Guest Housing as well as Temporary Student Housing in the Residence Hall for the 2013-2014 Academic Year.

Guest Housing is housing provided to guests of the institution and is available to any person that faculty, staff or administrators invite to KPC or may otherwise be visiting KPC to work with students, staff, faculty or administrators.

Temporary Student Housing is housing provided to KPC students who live out of town but are required to be on campus to attend academic related functions such as intense labs, special events, workshops, seminars, etc.

Students and guests will be housed in one of the four bedroom apartments and have full access to the building amenities, which includes Wi-Fi, gym, activity room and laundry facilities. The cost of housing for both Guests and Students is $40 per night per person for one bedroom in a four bedroom apartment. Each bedroom is keyed separately so only the assigned individual will have access to his or her assigned bedroom.

While every effort will be made to offer private accommodations, we do have limited accommodations so it may be necessary to assign guests and students to apartments that may be shared by up to three other people. Every effort will be made to inform guests and students of situations where they may be sharing an apartment with other individuals prior to their arrival or at the time of check in. Every effort will also be made to avoid making new assignments to apartments where guests or students have already checked in and if it is necessary, guests will be informed prior to the change in accommodations
While Residence Life does not typically provide linens, we do have a limited supply of sheets, blankets, pillows and towels for use by the guest or student for an additional $5 per night per person.

Guests and students can arrange for housing accommodations by e-mailing Tammie Willis at or Hannah Heath at"
