Regular attendance and active participation are expected in all classes. Students are responsible for class work even if there are legitimate reasons for their absence. A faculty member may drop a student from a course if the student fails to attend class by the first class meeting of the second full week of classes or if they fail to meet attendance requirements; however, the faculty member is under no obligation to do so. Students who decide to withdraw from the class, must submit an add/drop form by the deadline. This form is available at the KPC website or http://www.uaa.alaska.edu/admissions/index.cfm. Failure to officially withdrawal from a class will result in a failing grade. Add/Drop/Withdrawal forms are available at Student Services and online at the KPC website.
