Students who are discharging official military duties, as members of the United States Armed Forces or the Alaska National Guard, are responsible for making advance arrangements with faculty members to enable them to meet course requirements. Faculty are encouraged to make reasonable accommodations for such students. In some cases accommodation may not be possible. In such cases, students who are forced to withdraw are encouraged to petition for a refund of tuition, submitting documentation of military duties to demonstrate circumstances beyond the student’s control.
