Now is the time for students interested in the spring 2019 CNA class to apply to reserve one of the ten total seats. This popular course tends to fill up rapidly. A career in the CNA field is a great fit for someone interested in taking care of someone in a hospital or extended care facility, or for someone looking for an entry-level position in the medical field to decide whether they want to pursue a career in nursing or medicine.

CNA training at KRC prepares students for the state of Alaska CNA certification exam. A background check is required to enter the course which is one reason why applicants should apply right away. This course includes a minimum of 60 hours of classroom and lab instruction, 32 hours of skills instruction and 48 hours of clinical experience.
