This two story clinic was built to serve the central peninsula after Doctors Paul Isaak and Elmer Gaede started practicing in Soldotna. They had worked out of a small frame building next to Wilson's store. The need was so great that some local folks added their financial support. A group of the doctors & interested business people arranged for financing and construction of the clinic, which was built in 1961. Bill Staley was the lab technician. Nurses were Miss Meadows, Betsy Staley, Jane Young, Jan Casson. In 2000, Marge Mullen observed: "Many babies were born here. According to custom after the delivery the doctors put everything in order and left."
