Photo taken in Libby's Cannery, at the time the photo was taken it was the Columbia Ward Cannery. Stacks, 12 cans high get pushed into the big retort to be heat processed. The cans in this photo were "tall" sized. By the late 1960's canning was phased out, replaced by freezing fish for transport.
