Alaska Road Commission Shop, Kenai 1952

These camp buildings were often old barracks buildings, always with window panes - 9 light was common. 50 gallon barrels outside speak of oil stones inside. To obtain a water well, a bulldozer scraped a hole deep as possible, a sand point was driven until water was reached, then a pipe was connected and capped with a hand pump and the hole was backfilled.
