Dorothy Stewart with Al Lee purchasing first copy of the Cheechako News, Soldotna 1960's

Al Lee, proprietor of A&S Auto Parts in Kenai, purchases the first copy of the first issue of The Kenai Peninsula Cheechako News from the newspaper's co-editor, Dorothy Stewart and an unidentified gentleman. Volume 1, Issue No. 1, of the paper made its debut on Friday, Oct. 30, 1959.
