Showcase: More than 20 Years of Art, Entertainment, and Enlightenment
For over twenty years the KPC
Showcase, Kenai Peninsula College’s award winning
lecture, entertainment, and arts series has promoted the
humanities in the central peninsula. The Showcase was begun
by longtime instructor Jean Brockel and our beloved English
Professor Dave Forbes, as a venue for local writers, dancers,
and musicians. In recent years, thanks in good part to a
generous grant from the Anna Fossett Goodrich Humanities
Program of the Damon Memorial Fund, the program has expanded
to include a wide array of presenters and performers from
around the state, the nation, and even the world. For more
