Kenai River Campus > Student Resources
Housing and Childcare
The Kenai River Campus will offer student housing beginning fall 2013! unfortunately, there is no on-campus childcare, but here are some resources.
Housing
KPC's first Residence Hall is currently under construction at the Kenai River Campus. The facility will open in August 2013. Applications for the Residence Hall will be accepted beginning April 15, 2013 for the fall 2013 semester. For further information, please visit the KPC Dorms website or Facebook page or e-mail Associate Director of Residence Life Tammie Willis.
Childcare
KPC doesn't provide childcare on campus or provide direct referrals to childcare facilities. KPC does provide students a direct referral to the Child Care Assistance Program, funded through the Division of Public Assistance, Alaska Department of Health & Social Services.
Transportation
CARTS (Central Area Rural Transit System) is a local transit system for the communities of Kenai, Soldotna, Sterling, Nikiski and Kasilof. CARTS is a result of a concerned group of central Peninsula residents coming together to find a way to give residents a ride while keeping costs as low as possible. CARTS has a number of vans that it dispatches to transport residents throughout the local service area. Rides with CARTS can be scheduled online.
