Northrim Donation Endowed Scholarship - Beginning 2014

Northrim Bank and its affiliate, Residential Mortgage, have established an endowed scholarship with  a $100,000 donation to the University of Alaska Foundation in memory of Chris Knudson. Knudson died September 13, 2013, after a lengthy battle against cancer. The Scholarship will be available for UA Students majoring in accounting beginning in 2014 at $4,500 per year/a $1,500 scholarship for students at each university.

Kenaitze Indian Tribe - Tribal Scholarship –Deadlines Vary

New Academic Year Applications Accepted - Opens May 21. The Kenaitze Indian Tribe encourages Tribal Members to pursue their goals by offering this opportunity to assist them in the financial costs of tuition, books, and fees. The guidelines and applications can be found on the Kenaitze Indian Tribe website.  

The Nurse Corps Scholarship – Deadlines Vary   

 Formerly the Nursing Scholarship Program, Students enrolled or accepted for enrollment in accredited RN or graduate nursing training programs, located in the U.S. can receive tuition, fees, other educational costs and a living stipend in exchange for a minimum 2 year service after graduation at a health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses.

ACLS Recertification Healthcare Training Scholarship – Deadline 12/31 

The ACLS will be awarding a $2,000 scholarship to the author of the winning essay and one (1) complimentary pass each to the ACLS Recertification program of their choice (ACLS, BLS, or PALS) valued at $275 to the second and third placers. Applicants must submit a 500-1000 word essay explaining how they feel about providing emergency medical care, wherein they are called upon to provide from the basic to the more advanced cardiac or pediatric life support.  Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship – Deadlines Vary

Students who are enrolled in community colleges who demonstrate a high academic achievement & who intend to continue their pursuit in an accredited baccalaureate degree program are encouraged to apply.
