Northrim Bank Scholarship - Beginning 2014  

Northrim Bank and its affiliate, Residential Mortgage, have established an endowed scholarship with a $100,000 donation to the University of Alaska Foundation in memory of Chris Knudson. Knudson died Sept. 13, 2013, after a lengthy battle against cancer. The scholarship will be available for UA students majoring in accounting beginning in 2014 at $4,500 per year—a $1,500 scholarship for students at each university.

2014/15 High School Senior Tuition Scholarship - Deadline: 4/3/14  

Kenai Peninsula College is offering several tuition scholarships to graduating seniors from the following schools: Cook Inlet Academy, Kenai Alternative High School, Kenai Central High School, Nikiski High School, Ninilchik High School, Seward High School, Skyview High School, Soldotna High School, and Kenai Peninsula Borough residents participating in home-school programs. This scholarship may be used for attendance during the 2014 / 2015 academic year at Kenai Peninsula College’s, Kenai River Campus (Soldotna) or at our Resurrection Bay Extension Site (Seward.)

American Indian Education Foundation Scholarship - Deadline: 4/4/14  

The AIEF Scholarship is available to undergraduate, tribally enrolled students with an ACT score between 14 and 24 or a minimum GPA of 2.0. Open to students who have participated in community services or school-related activities. Applicants must be full-time students who have been accepted into a University/College/Technical School and provide a well-developed essay with realistic goals.

Alaska Professional Communicators Memorial Scholarship - Deadline: 4/4/14  

The Alaska Professional Communicators, Alaska Chapter of the National Federation of Press Women is offering $1,000 scholarships to Alaska residents. The Memorial Scholarship began in 1981 and is presented in memory of members who have died. Their spirit lives on in the scholarship winners. Applicants must have a need, be enrolled at a 4 year college or university, and pursuing a career in a communications field.

2014 KPC Fall Scholarship Packet - Deadline: 4/10/14  

Scholarship and Tuition Waiver opportunities open to KPC students who are enrolled in KPC Campus-based classes. Consideration for all awards will be determined by the KPC Scholarship Committee. Applicants are required to be AK residents, who are enrolled in at least one course at Kenai Peninsula College.

Zane Olson Art Memorial Scholarship - Deadline: 4/10/14  

This scholarship was created in memory of former KPC student, Zane Olson, and his love of art. Open to Full-time students; Minimum of 2.0 GPA Requirement. Additional requirements: submit a Portfolio of 3-6 photographs of your original artworks, and a 200-300 word summary of future goals & your reasons for pursuing a career in art.

Folds of Honor Foundation Scholarship – Deadline: 4/30/14  

2014-15 Season opens February 1st for eligible dependents or spouse of Active Duty or Reserve Soldier: Sailor, Airman, Marine, or Coast Guardsman who are departed or disabled in the line of duty; Classified as a POW or MIA.

MassMutual Scholars Scholarship - Deadline: 5/2/2014


A national scholarship program is being offered for high achieving sophomore, junior, or senior college students interested in pursuing careers in the insurance and financial services industry.

PEO Scholarship - Deadline: 5/12/14  

Chapter M of Kenai, Alaska is offering a $1,500 scholarship for the 2014-2015 school year. The scholarship application can be picked-up from the KPC Financial Aid Office and is need based. Available to any woman who has already successfully completed at least one semester of college, and is planning to enroll or has enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at the Kenai Peninsula College, Kenai River Campus.  

Applications must arrive at the KPC—Kenai River Campus, Financial Aid Office by 5:00 p.m.  


The National Health Service Corps Scholarship (NHSC) - Deadline: 5/15/2014  

Students committed to primary care and enrolled in allopathic or osteopathic medical, dental, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or certified nurse midwife training programs can receive tuition, fees, other educational costs and a living stipend, tax-free, for as many as 4 years in exchange for an equal number of years (2-year minimum) service at an approved facility in a high-need underserved area.
